IN 6633, Intex’s new dual SIM QWERTY phone has been launched in India. It is a bar style mobile phone and supports two GSM SIM cards. Loaded with a number of interesting features, IN 6633 is available for an affordable retail price tag of Rs. 4500 throughout the nation.

With an elegant look, this new Intex model has features like 5.8 cm screen with TFT display, Wi-Fi, Face-to-Face chat, QWERTY keypad, Nimbuzz instant messaging tool, java, Face book and games like M-Sudoku and 5-Sudoku. It also features Push Mail, an e-mail system in which new e-mail is actively transferred as it arrives by the mail server to the e-mail client.

With 1300mAh standard battery, Intex IN 6633 has up to 4 hours talk time and up to 260 hours stand by time. The phone has 500 SMS storage and 1000 entries phonebook capacity.

Other features include mobile tracker; security lock for SMS, MMS, and Phonebook; wireless FM radio with antenna; audio player; internal memory of 78MB that is expandable up to 8GB; web camera; Bluetooth with A2DP; motion sensor; answering machine and auto call record. Adding to all these, the phone supports four languages – English, Hindi, Urdu and French.

McAfee announced the worldwide availability of McAfee Software-as-a-Service(SaaS)Web Protection. This new cloud-based service protects enterprises from malware and other web-borne threats without any on-premise requirements.

The SaaS Web security solution combines the robust enterprise-grade reporting capabilities and features from McAfee solutions with the massively scalable, multi-tenant platform architecture that powered the MX Logic solution. McAfee SaaS Web Protection provides the industry’s highest Web protection rates by leveraging the McAfee Global Threat Intelligence network. This network uses millions of threat sensors and more than 350 full-time security experts around the globe.

Marc Olesen, SVP and General Manager, Content and Cloud Security for McAfee said, “McAfee SaaS Web Protection incorporates all of the knowledge and experience we’ve gathered through the years as well as the unique expertise and technologies gained from our recent acquisitions.” Combine that with McAfee Global Threat Intelligence capabilities in the cloud, users will find a better and more effective solution than McAfee SaaS Web Protection, Olesen claimed.

This new cloud-based service from McAfee has several features such as comprehensive reporting, simplified policy enforcement and controls, early protection, rapid deployment and unlimited scalability and remote protection.

Bangalore: Olive Telecom has announced the launch of OlivePad VT100, the first 3.5G tablet of India. Expected to be priced below Rs. 25,000, it will hit the stores across the country in August.

The OlivePad runs on Android Operating System. The unique quality of the OlivePad is that it packs in features of a tablet as well as a smartphone.

The tablet supports 3.5G HSUPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It comes with a 3MP camera and also a front camera. Other features include flash support and mini USB support and it can be used as a touch notebook for browsing, multimedia, IM, social networking, gaming console, e-book reader and TV. It also allows voice and video calling, rendering it features of a smartphone.

The OlivePad is loaded with 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM. The memory can be extended up to 32GB with a memory card.

The company hopes to sell about one lakh units within six months of its launch and has an agreement with electronics shop Croma to sell the device.
